Brief Description: The course draws on academic English Language, academic practice and academic culture, three interconnected areas essential for university study and provide transferable skills. Activities include watching short videos, listening to recordings, reading texts, completing guided tasks, taking part in discussion forums, Participating in discussions with your fellow students, Writing, etc. The participants will use a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) platform for live sessions with tutors, group discussion, one-to-one pair work, live discussions with other students, etc. The course is interactive, and the participant will take part in different types of activities through the VLE integrating 21st Century technology that is changing our world, knowledge and skills are being automated, digitized and outsourced. The participants will take part in activities using their English skills, critical thinking, creativity and focusing on collaboration, problem-solving, initiative and self-direction.
Introduction to Animation

Brief Description: This course will cover the basic process in the creative production of 2D animation. Discussions and demonstrations of the basic techniques in drawing for will comprise the first part of the workshop followed by demonstrations on the 12 principles of animation as applied to characters and animated objects in a given scene based on the written script narrative. The second part will teach the students basic composition and scene staging in a given story sequence. Finally, a demonstration of compositing and editing prior to the final product will be shown through the use of relevant industry software.
Learning Outcomes:
Distinguish and apply the drawing techniques in animation.
Design a simple character and prop based on the learner’s own concept.
Lecture discussion of the 12 principles of animation to be followed by a demonstration of each principle.
Recognize and identify the stages in compositing and editing.
Learning Programming in Python

Brief Description: This course is especially tailored for learners who have completed their HSC/ A level examinations recently and are preparing for universities in coming days. In this course, a learner will develop knowledge and hands-on skills on basic Python programming (what it is and how it works), problem-solving methods, data structure, Object-Oriented concept, packages, and Graphical User Interface (GUI) design. The participants will learn Python without any prior programming knowledge. The achieved knowledge from this course can be applied to various domains of Computer Science (i.e., Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, Networking, Cloud Computing etc.). It will highly help the learners to understand not only the related topics but also higher education system in Bangladesh.
